How the Paddle Picker Quiz works

The Paddle Picker Quiz takes eight inputs about your game and returns the three paddles whose specifications most closely match your stated profile. The questions cover skill rating, dominant style (power, control, all-court, spin), preferred core thickness, grip size, handle length, weight tolerance, budget cap, and tournament-approval requirement. Each input maps to one or more measurable specs in the underlying database.

The spec database aggregates manufacturer-published values for 20 paddles across every major brand — JOOLA, Selkirk, CRBN, Vatic Pro, ProKennex, Engage, Gamma, Onix, Six Zero, JOOLA, PIKKL, ProXR, Gearbox, and Holbrook. Fields include core thickness in millimetres, face material, weight in ounces, grip circumference, handle length, swingweight, twistweight, MSRP in USD, and approval status with USA Pickleball, the PPA, and the APP. Every value is sourced from the manufacturer's spec sheet or from a verified retail product page.

Your answers feed a weighted-score algorithm that ranks each paddle against your inputs. No subjective testing data is involved. The output is the three paddles with the lowest spec-distance from your profile, presented with the matching specs called out so you can verify the fit yourself before buying.
